Cassi Neal, LCSW. Program Director of Advance San Diego, a Crisis Intervention and Response Team partnership with CRF Behavioral Healthcare and San Diego Regional Center. She has been with CRF since 2018 when she joined as a PSR for their Assertive Community Treatment team. After one year she was promoted to team lead, and later helped set up and begin the San Diego location of the Advance CIRT in 2021. Cassi has been in the field of mental health and advocacy since 2013. Starting by advocating with The Texas Civil Rights Project for better mental health care in the Texas Penitentiary system. In 2016 she moved back to San Diego to work with The San Digo Housing Federation and their Residents United Network (RUN) and Supported Services program, setting up and assisting with building a bridge between residents and the larger community. She then moved her passion for advocacy into focusing on clinical work, focusing on using trauma informed care supporting adults with serious mental illness and co-occurring disorders reach their own goals and potential.
