Children participating in camp will have the opportunity to go on daily field trips to such places as Boomers, Knott's Soak City, Legoland, Chuck E. Cheese, Belmont Park and more. There will be swimming at the YMCA pool throughout the week.

The staff to camper ratio is low to insure maximum safety and optimize participation. Each camper is evaluated for their needs and is provided a high level of experienced, knowledgeable supervision. Financial aid is available based on financial need.

​In order to register, you must: 

  • Have a current Autism Society San Diego membership by date of application as well as during camp.
  • Be a San Diego County resident 
  • Provide a copy of the first page of your child's IEP

If you are applying for Financial Aid, please do so after you have successfully registered for camp.

Camp I CAN was created and developed by the Autism Society San Diego in partnership with the YMCA to provide kids and teens with ASD, ages 6-17, a fun, safe and nurturing camp experience.  Funding for Camp I CAN is provided primarily by the Autism Society San Diego and our generous community donors.


Camp I CAN is held at two locations:
Kearny Mesa:  Toby Wells YMCA
Carlsbad:  Ecke YMCA

The cost for this camp is $300

Registration begins March 19, 2018
