Brain Spectrum Neuropsychology is a neurodiversity-affirming diagnostic practice headed by owner and director, Dr. Elisabeth Thurlow. Dr. Thurlow is a lifespan neuropsychologist with a great respect for neurodiversity and learning differences. She has over 25 years experience conducting comprehensive, Best Practice psychological and neuropsychological evaluations of children, adolescents and adults with a variety of neurodevelopmental challenges including ADHD, ASD, processing difficulties, and learning disorders like Dyslexia, Dyscalculia, Dysgraphia, and NVLD. However, she is best known for her Gold-Standard diagnostic evaluations for Autism Spectrum Disorder. An expert in the autism field, she is sought out for her ASD evaluations, which combine clinical astuteness with a great respect for human diversity. She is highly experienced in conducting complex assessments of adults with co-occurring diagnoses, and she is also skilled at diagnosing neurodivergent women and girls whose diagnoses have been missed due to compensatory strategies, like masking. Dr. Thurlow also offers comprehensive diagnostic evaluations of individuals who are struggling with emotional difficulties, like anxiety, depression, and OCD.
